I feel like I may be so much closer to achieving an aesthetic I want most of my illustration to take on. Growing up with a love for pulp illustrations from my loves, Norman Saunders and Earl Norem, I pieced together the techniques usually present in their line of work. I want the “pulp look” minus the actual oil paints. It was fun testing out different brushes on Corel Painter 12, but I chose my big three that would constitute the aesthetic I’m going for. I’m afraid I won’t let that cat out of the bag, but for your own sake, experiment as much as you can and find out what brushes suit your artistic needs!
